Genie on Hire (GoH) is a platform focused on event staffing, gig opportunities, and innovative marketplace solutions for events, hiring, and services. The City Head will play a key role in driving growth, operations, and market leadership in Bengaluru.

Role Overview

The City Head will act as the business owner for the Bengaluru market, responsible for revenue growth, operations, team building, strategic partnerships, and ensuring an exceptional experience for both clients and Genies.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive city-level revenue targets and P&L.;
- Conduct daily reviews with sales and operations teams.
- Build a strong demand pipeline across events, colleges, corporates, and local businesses.
- Hire, train, and manage high-performing teams, including interns and full-time employees.
- Develop and execute Genie onboarding, activation, and retention strategies.
- Ensure smooth payment operations and work towards reducing the payment cycle to 15 days.
- Manage relationships with high-value clients and drive repeat business.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to increase platform traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Explore and scale new revenue streams such as event listings, sponsorships, ticketing, drop shipping, and marketplace services.
- Build strategic partnerships with colleges, event organizers, startups, corporates, and community groups across Bengaluru.
- Monitor and improve unit economics, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure high Genie satisfaction, utilization, and retention.
- Provide product feedback and identify platform enhancements based on market needs.
- Ensure compliance,



risk management, and process discipline.
- Develop scalable SOPs and best practices that can be replicated across other cities.

- Monthly revenue and growth targets.
- Platform traffic and conversion rates.
- Genie onboarding and activation rates.
- Client retention and repeat business.
- Payment cycle efficiency.
- Cost per acquisition (CPA) and profitability.
- Team productivity and performance against goals.

Qualifications

- 5–10 years of experience in college interaction, EdTech sector, operations, business development, or general management.
- Experience in startups, marketplaces, staffing, events, or related industries preferred.
- Strong leadership, recruitment, and team management skills.
- Data-driven, entrepreneurial, and execution-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
