Job Summary

The Valve Assembly Trainee is responsible for assembling industrial valves according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The trainee will learn assembly techniques, testing procedures, safety practices, and production processes under the guidance of senior technicians and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble industrial valves as per assembly drawings and work instructions.
- Identify and verify valve components before assembly.
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments correctly.
- Ensure proper tightening torque and alignment of valve components.
- Perform leak testing and functional testing as instructed.
- Maintain production quality and meet daily production targets.
- Report defects, shortages, or assembly issues to the supervisor.
- Follow 5S, safety,



and housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Handle components carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain production and quality records accurately.
- Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities.
- Follow company SOPs and safety guidelines at all times.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of mechanical components.
- Ability to read simple engineering drawings (preferred).
- Good learning attitude and willingness to work on the shop floor.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Teamwork and discipline.
- Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- ITI – Fitter/Mechanic
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers)
