We are looking for a skilled VMC Programmer to create, optimize, and maintain CNC machining programs for Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). The candidate should be able to interpret engineering drawings, generate CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, select suitable cutting tools, and ensure high-quality production with minimum cycle time.

Key Responsibilities

- Create CNC programs for VMC machines using CAD/CAM software (NX, Mastercam, PowerMill, etc.).
- Read and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, and GD&T.;
- Develop machining strategies for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and machining parameters.
- Optimize cycle time while maintaining quality standards.
- Generate setup sheets and tool lists for machine operators.
- Perform program simulation to avoid collisions.
- Conduct prove-out of new programs on the machine.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs when required.
- Coordinate with the Design, Tool Room, and Quality departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of CNC programs and revisions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and VMC operations.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX preferred).
- Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming.




- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.
- Understanding of workholding and fixture design.
- Ability to optimize machining processes.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- CNC Programming certification is an added advantage.

Experience

- 3–5 Years: Independent programming and process optimization.
- 5+ Years: Complex machining, fixture planning, and mentoring junior programmers.

Salary

As per industry standards and candidate experience.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
