Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong hands-on development background to join a growing engineering team. This role requires deep expertise in modern Java, reactive architectures, microservices, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems in distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and distributed systems
- Build and optimize backend services using Java (Java 21+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus
- Apply functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O principles in service design
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven systems using messaging platforms such as Kafka / MQ
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (preferably GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL / NoSQL) for data persistence and optimization
- Implement backend security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS
- Set up and maintain observability practices including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing




- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on hands-on coding
- Solid proficiency in Java (Java 21+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with functional programming, reactive architecture, and non-blocking I/O
- Proven experience building microservices architectures and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, gRPC, event-driven systems, and messaging (Kafka / MQ)
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices
- Good exposure to database technologies (PostgreSQL / NoSQL)
- Solid understanding of backend security practices (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
- Experience with observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred (Good to Have) Skills

- Experience with blockchain / distributed ledger platforms (e.g., Canton)
- Exposure to API management platforms (e.g., Apigee)
- Familiarity with resilience patterns (circuit breaker, bulkhead, retry mechanisms)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or other automation tooling
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC
- Experience working in regulated environments with compliance and audit awareness
