The Fund Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating fund operations and accounting for an early-stage venture capital fund. Key Responsibilities
Candidate shall be responsible for:
Fund Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venture capital fund
- Coordinate with vendors providing fund administration, legal, tax, and other operational services
- Ensure efficient execution of capital calls, distributions, and other fund activities
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, investor reports, and other financial documentation
- Ensure proper accounting practices and controls are in place
Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all vendors providing operational, compliance, risk,
and accounting services
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms
Strategic Initiatives:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational strategies to enhance fund performance and efficiency
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives within the fund
Investor Relations:
- Support investor communication and reporting
- Assist with the preparation of investor presentations and updates

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in primarily managing venture capital fund operations and accounting within the financial services industry
- Robust understanding of venture capital fund operations and regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
- Proficiency in relevant financial software and tools
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CA
- Experience working in an early-stage venture capital environment
