BTL India development center is seeking a highly motivated electronics hardware Engineer for a senior role with 6 to 8
years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development
of innovative medical devices.

R O L E S A N D R E S PON S IB IL IT IE S

As part of the New Product Development (NPD) team, the candidate should be able to perform the following duties, but
they are not limited to the following:

o Requirement detailing

o Responsible for understanding the system/product requirements

o Derive the hardware requirement specifications

o Derive the Hardware interface specifications for software

o Hardware System / Subsystem design

o Propose innovative hardware ideas and apply technical expertise to solve complex design challenges.

o Take ownership and lead the conceptual studies by designing, building, testing, and troubleshooting
feasibility prototypes at the module or system level.

o Involve in component selections, draw the circuit designs (schematics entry), perform circuit
simulations, BOM management, PCB design and layout reviews

o Prepare the hardware detailed design documentations for the designs

o Contribute to the integration of various hardware sub-systems of the product, including cables and
connectors, into the mechanical assembly

o Identify the technical risks in the design, propose / implement mitigation strategies and actively
participate in DFMEA processes

o Design Qualification





o Prepare the hardware test plans and perform necessary hands-on testing at circuit level / module level
/ product level to evaluate the circuit and system performance.

o Plan and perform pre-compliance testing for EMI/EMC and safety tests

o Identify the technical issues and work on their closures

o Collaboration

o Work closely with project manager and other hardware engineers to deliver the assigned task/project
with quality within the timelines.

o Coordinate with cross functional teams including software and mechanical engineers, purchase team
and production teams to ensure cohesive project execution.

E S S E N T IA L Q UA L IF IC A T IO N AN D E X PE R IE N CE

Q UA L IF IC A T IO N :

o BE / Btech / ME / Mtech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

o 6 to 8 Years of experience in working with Hardware designs.

T E C HN IC A L C O MPE TE NC Y :

o Experienced and strong expertise in Analog circuit designs – Op-amps, instrumentation amplifiers for low noise
signal conditioning, precision analog front end design, and ADCs for data acquisition.

o Strong in measurement & instrumentation techniques – Impedance measurement principles, Impedance
calculation (Phase/Amplitude), frequency response analysis, evaluation of measurement accuracy, resolution,
and stability.

o Experienced in hardware design integrating Microcontrollers / DSP. Good understanding of their architecture,
operation, and the requirements for designing circuits using them.





o Familiar with HW-SW interface specification and defining them

o Knowledge of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Ethernet

o Know-how on power supply designs: DC- DC converters (Buck/Boost/LDOs)

o Tool competency: Circuit simulation tools, Schematic & Layout tools: Altium or similar

o Experience using equipment like DMMs, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, Signal generators, LCR meters

o Understanding and working knowledge of medical standards IEC60601-1

o Awareness of EMI/EMC tests and design for its compliance.

o Awareness of embedded programming is a plus

o Basic knowledge of test automation using Python/LabVIEW is a plus
