Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Molecular Biology Executive / Research Associate to join our laboratory team. The candidate will be responsible for DNA/RNA extraction from a wide variety of biological samples, performing quality control (QC) assessments, preparing QC reports, managing sample storage, and coordinating with the operations team for timely communication of sample and QC status.

This is a dynamic, hands-on laboratory role that requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform DNA and RNA extraction from diverse sample types including:
- Blood
- Bacteria
- Fungi
- Soil
- Plants
- Insects
- Other biological/environmental samples
- Conduct nucleic acid quality control (QC) using relevant laboratory instruments and methods.
- Prepare and maintain accurate QC reports and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure proper sample labeling, handling, tracking, and storage as per laboratory protocols.
- Coordinate and communicate sample status and QC results with the operations team in a timely manner.




- Maintain high standards of laboratory quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot extraction and QC issues when required.
- Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality management procedures.
- Support continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and processes.
- Manage multiple samples and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in:
- Biotechnology
- Microbiology
- Molecular Biology
- Life Sciences
- Biochemistry
- Related field

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Experience in DNA/RNA extraction is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and laboratory instruments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with nucleic acid QC methods such as NanoDrop, Qubit, gel electrophoresis, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Solid attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver quality reports within timelines.
