Summary

UST is looking for an Agentic AI Engineer (Agent Development & GCP) to design, develop, deploy, and operate production-grade AI Agents for next-generation Data Fabric platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), LangGraph, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to build intelligent agents that automate complex business and data engineering workflows.

This role requires strong expertise in Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AI Agent development, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Vertex AI, and cloud-native deployment practices. The engineer will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Platform Architects to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions.

The Opportunity

As an Agentic AI Engineer, you will build autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning, tool invocation, and enterprise system integration while ensuring production reliability, observability, and continuous improvement.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and productionize AI Agents using Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), LangGraph, or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
- Build intelligent agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool invocation, and context-aware decision making for enterprise automation.
- Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers to expose enterprise data, tools, and services to AI Agents.
- Integrate AI Agents with Google Cloud Platform services including Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, Vertex AI Model Garden, and Cloud Run.
- Build secure integrations with enterprise knowledge bases, APIs, and business applications.
- Deploy AI Agents to production using Cloud Run, Docker, Cloud Build, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment and lifecycle management of AI applications.
- Design comprehensive evaluation frameworks including automated testing, LLM output validation, performance benchmarking, and AgentOps monitoring.
- Implement prompt engineering strategies, context management, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and dynamic context loading using MCP.
- Instrument AI agents with logging, tracing, monitoring, and observability for production environments.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers,



Platform Architects, and Solution Architects to design scalable AI-powered workflows.
- Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and reusable AI platform components.

What you need

Mandatory Skills

- Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI Agents.
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Experience building AI Agents using Google ADK, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience integrating Google Cloud Platform services including:
- Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
- BigQuery
- Vertex AI
- Cloud Run

- Robust understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, context management, tool/function calling, and reasoning workflows.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or equivalent tool-calling architectures.
- Experience designing evaluation strategies for AI/LLM systems including automated testing, validation, and benchmarking.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Cloud Build, and containerized deployments.
- Experience designing REST APIs, JSON-based integrations, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of production deployment, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills

- Experience with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Hands-on experience with Vertex AI Model Garden.
- Experience building AgentOps or MLOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Vector Databases.
- Experience with LangChain or other AI Agent orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of Avro, Parquet, or schema-on-read data formats.
- Experience working within Data Fabric or Data Lake architectures.
- Exposure to Financial Services or regulated industries.
- Experience implementing AI/ML CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Vertex AI Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Java is an added advantage.

Qualification





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience developing AI Agents in production environments.
- Strong experience with Python and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agent frameworks, and enterprise cloud applications.
Experience in cloud-native application development and production support is highly preferred.
