About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven and detail-oriented Purchase Manager for procurement activities across packaging materials and related operational requirements.

This is an individual contributor role requiring strong negotiation capability, vendor management expertise, and disciplined follow-through. The role will be responsible for sourcing and managing procurement of bottles, labels, caps, cartons, packaging materials, spare parts, and machinery as required.

The ideal candidate should bring robust cost control discipline, supply chain awareness, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

- - Lead sourcing and procurement activities for packaging materials including bottles, labels, caps, cartons, corrugated boxes, etc.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard reliable vendors aligned with quality, cost, and delivery expectations
- Develop and maintain strong long-term supplier relationships to ensure supply continuity and commercial advantage
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews covering pricing, quality, responsiveness, and service levels
- Continuously evaluate alternate sourcing opportunities to improve competitiveness and reduce dependency risks

- Commercial Negotiation & Cost Control

- - Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure the best pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions
- Perform detailed cost comparisons, market benchmarking, and price analysis across suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Drive procurement strategies focused on cost reduction, value engineering, and margin improvement




- Analyze material cost structures and negotiate effectively using data-driven insights
- Monitor raw material price movements, market trends, and industry benchmarks to minimize commercial risk exposure
- Ensure all procurement decisions are commercially optimized without compromising quality or service standards
- Build robust RFQ/RFP comparison models and supplier evaluation frameworks for informed decision-making

- Procurement Planning & Execution

- - Align procurement with production schedules and inventory levels
- Ensure timely availability of packaging materials
- Monitor purchase orders from issuance to delivery
- Coordinate with internal teams to prevent stock-outs or overstocking

- Spare Parts & Machinery Procurement

- - Source spare parts and equipment components as required
- Coordinate machinery procurement in alignment with operational needs
- Ensure technical specifications are accurately aligned with vendor supply

- Compliance & Documentation

- - Ensure procurement documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintain contract records and supplier agreements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards

- Risk Management & Supply Continuity

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing industries
- Proven experience handling packaging materials sourcing
