- Qualifications: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing with valid state nursing council registration.
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of clinical or OT experience; prior ophthalmology background is a robust advantage.
- Key Skills: Micro-instrument handling, aseptic techniques, patient monitoring, and basic computer literacy. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Responsibilities

- Pre-Operative: Prepare patients for cataract, LASIK, or retinal procedures, check vital signs, and administer pre-op eye drops.
- Intra-Operative: Act as scrub or circulating nurse, hand specialized microsurgical tools to ophthalmologists, and manage surgical microscopes and laser systems.
- Post-Operative: Transfer patients to recovery, apply sterile eye dressings, and educate families on home care and eye-drop application.
- Sterilization & Safety: Run autoclave cycles for delicate eye instruments and enforce biomedical waste management rules
