1–3 years of experience as a Cashier in retail, supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, or sweet shops.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Cash Handling

- Greet customers politely and professionally.
- Accurately bill customer purchases using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Receive payments through cash, UPI, debit cards, credit cards, gift vouchers, and other approved payment methods.
- Verify payment amounts before completing transactions.
- Issue bills and payment receipts to customers.
- Count and verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure the cash drawer balances with daily sales records.
- Report any cash shortages or excess immediately to the Outlet Supervisor.

POS Operations

- Operate the POS system efficiently and accurately.
- Process refunds, cancellations, exchanges, and discounts only with proper authorization.
- Update customer information where applicable.
- Handle billing errors promptly and professionally.

Customer Service

- Welcome customers with a friendly attitude.
- Answer customer queries regarding products, pricing, offers, and payment methods.




- Resolve customer concerns politely or escalate them to the supervisor when necessary.
- Maintain a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Sales Support

- Inform customers about ongoing promotions, festive offers, and loyalty programs.
- Encourage additional purchases through cross-selling and upselling.
- Coordinate with sales staff for smooth customer service.

Cash & Financial Control

- Maintain confidentiality of financial transactions.
- Prepare daily cash collection reports.
- Deposit cash as per company procedures.
- Ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

Store Coordination

- Coordinate with the sales team during peak hours.
- Assist in maintaining queue discipline and smooth customer flow.
- Support inventory reconciliation when required.

Housekeeping & Hygiene

- Keep the billing counter clean, organized, and presentable.
- Follow company hygiene and grooming standards.
- Maintain cleanliness around the billing area.

Compliance

- Follow company SOPs, billing procedures, and financial policies.
