We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T;) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)
- Understand System requirements and Layout the Baseline Design
- Generate Conceptual designs and Perform validation techniques to select Best Optimal Design
- Selection of Materials for Composite and Metallic parts
- Perform Design Calculations per System Requirements
- Hand Calculations, Preliminary Sizing through basic FE Analysis
- Develop 3D Models using CAD tools
- Build Assemblies and Perform Stack-up Analysis
- Interact with Manufacturing team to optimize the design for better producibility and to solve the Manufacturing issues
- Design Mold/Tooling/Fixtures for Component Manufacturing
Must have skills:
- Experience in Aerospace Domain preferably exposure to New Product Development and able to work in Fast paced environment
- Good Understanding of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure in response to Static and Dynamic Loads
- Experience in Designing Structural Components like Wing and Fuselage of Aircraft
- Knowledge of CAD/FEA Tools like Catia/Solidworks, Ansys/MSC Nastran
- Performing Hand Calculations and Linear Static Analysis
- Good Experience of ASME drafting standards and application of GD&T.;
- Performing Stack-Up Analysis to verify Clash/Clearances in Assembly
- Hands-on experience with ENOVIA VPM/ Team Center or similar PDM/ PLM.
- Experience in Product development using DFM and DFA Principles
- Good Problem Solving and Analytical thinking skills
- Should be able to communicate with internal customers on the technical requirements, be able to discuss, participate and negotiate in finalizing technical requirements and acceptance methodologies
- Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Should have an ability to articulate thought process to the Project stakeholders
Valuable to have skills:
- Knowledge/Experience in Product Design in Unmanned combat aerial vehicles.
- Understanding of Aeroelasticity (Manoeuvre Loads computation, Flutter and Gust)
- Programming Languages MATLAB, Python/C++ for parametric analysis Design and FEA
