The Role

You'll own FlytBase's organic search engine—not just the legacy Google rankings, but the entire future of search. While most SEO people are still optimizing title tags, you'll be building for the AI-driven search world: ChatGPT citations, Perplexity answers, and Google AI Overviews. This is equal parts technical SEO operator and AEO pioneer. You'll audit site architecture, build schema markup, and execute link strategies—but also experiment with LLM crawlability, structured data for answer engines, and Reddit citation tactics that most SEO teams haven't even heard of yet.

What You'll Own

• Organic search pipeline—traffic, rankings, and lead generation across target drone autonomy keywords • AEO/AIO strategy—structured data, citation building, and LLM optimization for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews • Technical SEO execution—site audits, Core Web Vitals, schema implementation, internal linking architecture • Content SEO operations—keyword research, content briefs for blog/newsletter and product use case pages • Link building campaigns—guest posts, community citations, Reddit strategy, industry publication outreach • SEO reporting and analytics—monthly pipeline attribution, ranking progress,



citation velocity tracking • Cross-team SEO consultation—working with Website Builder on technical implementations and Product Marketing on content optimization

Best Suited For

• 2-5 years running SEO campaigns with measurable traffic and ranking growth • Hands-on experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google Search Console beyond basic reporting • Proven track record building and implementing structured data/schema markup • Direct experience with guest posting, link outreach, or community-based citation building • Active experimentation with AEO tactics—optimizing for ChatGPT citations, Perplexity answers, or AI Overviews • Content briefing skills—translating keyword research into actionable content requirements • B2B SaaS or technical product SEO experience preferred - Comfort with APIs, basic scripting, or Claude Code for SEO automation tasks

Who You'll Work With

You'll report to our Associate Director of Marketing, who leads our AI MarTech stack. You'll collaborate closely with our AI Website Builder Lead on technical implementations and work with Product Marketing and Brand & Events teams on content strategy and optimization.
