Job Title: Senior Accountant (Accounts Head)
Department: Accounts & Finance
Reporting To: Director / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Managing Director
Location: Nangli Sakrawati, Najafgarh
Employment Type: Full time
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (Accounts
Head) to lead the Accounts & Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, statutory compliance,
taxation, financial reporting, banking, budgeting, audits, and team management while
ensuring compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting
- Maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Review journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations.
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow.
2. GST Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
- Reconcile GST data with books.
- Manage Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Handle GST notices, assessments, and departmental queries.
- Ensure GST compliance for vendors and customers.
3. Income Tax & TDS
- Deduct and deposit TDS.
- File TDS returns.
- Prepare advance tax working.
- Coordinate with tax consultants.
- Handle income tax assessments and notices.
4. Banking & Treasury
- Manage banking operations.
- Handle fund flow and cash flow planning.
- Prepare CMA data.
- Coordinate with banks for:
o Working Capital Limits
o Term Loans
o Loan documentation
- Monitor interest costs and banking charges.
5. Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare monthly MIS reports.
- Prepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
- Analyze financial performance.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards.
- Present financial reports to management.
6. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate Statutory Audit.
- Coordinate Tax Audit.
- Coordinate Internal Audit.
- Ensure Companies Act compliance.
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, and government departments.
7. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Monitor budget vs actual performance.
- Conduct variance analysis.
- Implement cost-control measures.
- Improve profitability through financial analysis.
8. Payroll & Employee Compliance
- Verify payroll.
- Ensure PF, ESIC, PT, and Labour Law compliance.
- Review salary payments.
- Coordinate employee reimbursement accounting.
9. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor vendor payments.
- Review customer outstanding balances.
- Control ageing analysis.
- Improve collection efficiency.
- Maintain vendor & client reconciliations.
10. Inventory & Fixed Assets
- Monitor inventory valuation.
- Reconcile stock with books.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Calculate depreciation.
- Coordinate physical verification.
11. Internal Controls
- Develop SOPs for accounting processes.
- Strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Identify financial risks and implement corrective actions.
12. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities.
- Review team performance.
- Train junior accountants.
- Ensure timely completion of work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred
- CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is an added advantage
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in Accounting & Finance.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing/trading/export industries preferred.
