XSQUADS is looking for a Technical Artist who can bridge the gap between art and technology, ensuring smooth integration of assets, optimizing game performance, and developing tools to improve workflow efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

- Act as a bridge between the art and programming teams, ensuring smooth asset integration.
- Develop tools, shaders, and scripts to enhance the visual quality and efficiency of the game.
- Optimize 3D models, textures, and materials to maintain performance across various devices.
- Implement shader programming, visual effects, and procedural generation techniques in the game engine.
- Ensure assets are optimized for memory usage, rendering efficiency, and real-time performance.
- Work closely with animators, VFX artists, and setting artists to ensure technical feasibility.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging visual or performance-related issues.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools and automation to improve asset pipelines.
- Stay updated with new technologies, rendering techniques, and industry trends.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.
- Strong proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine for asset integration and optimization.
- Knowledge of shader creation using Shader Graph, HLSL,



or Unreal’s Material Editor.
- Experience with scripting in Python, C#, or Blueprint (Unreal Engine) to develop tools and automate workflows.
- Understanding of PBR workflows, lighting, and rendering pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for procedural generation and asset optimization.
- Ability to diagnose and optimize performance issues related to art assets.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in creating custom tools and plugins for art pipelines.
- Knowledge of real-time VFX, procedural asset generation, and physics-based simulations.
- Familiarity with motion capture, animation blending, and rigging optimization.
- Passion for game development and technical problem-solving.
