Labour Room Staff Nurse (Experienced) – Multiple Openings

Location: Mamta Medical College & Hospital, Siwan, Bihar

Experience: Minimum 3 years in Labour Room (Mandatory)

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹50,000 (Negotiable as per experience)

Job Description:

MMCH Siwan is hiring experienced Labour Room (LR) Nurses with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in conducting deliveries and managing maternal & newborn care. Candidates must be technically competent and comfortable working in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in normal & assisted deliveries
- Monitor mother & fetal well-being during labour
- Prepare LR before deliveries & maintain aseptic environment
- Assist doctors during procedures (episiotomy, suturing assistance)
- Newborn immediate care (APGAR, thermoregulation, breastfeeding support)
- Post-delivery mother & baby monitoring
- Maintain LR records, partograph & handover
- Follow NABH, infection control & LR protocols





Required Technical Skills (Labour Room):

- Conducting normal deliveries (if scope allows)
- Fetal heart rate monitoring (CTG)
- Partograph maintenance
- Newborn resuscitation (NRP – preferred)
- IV cannulation, oxytocin infusion handling
- Episiotomy care & suturing assistance
- Management of PPH (basic emergency response)
- Aseptic techniques & biomedical waste management
- Accurate documentation & handover

Eligibility:

ANM / GNM / B.Sc Nursing

Minimum 3 years LR experience (mandatory)

Willing to work rotational shifts

Good communication & patient handling skills
