Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead PHP Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Laravel Framework, excellent problem-solving skills, and a high sense of ownership and accountability. Experience with Yii Framework will be considered an added advantage. The candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions within committed timelines while effectively leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure web applications using PHP.
- Develop robust backend solutions using Laravel Framework. Experience working with Yii Framework is a plus.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and software design principles.

Ownership & Accountability

- Take complete ownership of assigned modules from development through deployment.
- Deliver assigned tasks within committed timelines.
- Perform thorough self-testing before handing over tasks to QA.




- Ensure bug fixes do not introduce regressions or impact existing functionality.
- Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and blockers, and communicate them at an early stage.
- Take responsibility for the quality, reliability, and maintainability of delivered solutions.

Code Quality & Engineering Excellence

- Participate in and conduct peer code reviews.
- Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and easy to support.
- Improve existing code by reducing technical debt and removing redundant or unused code.
- Follow clean architecture, SOLID principles, and development best practices.
- Collaborate with QA to minimize defects and ensure production-ready releases.

AI-Assisted Development & Productivity

- Effectively utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, Gemini, or similar) to improve development productivity, debugging, code quality, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Validate and review AI-generated code to ensure accuracy, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
- Continuously adopt modern development practices and tools to improve engineering efficiency.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining engineering standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

- Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, UI/UX Designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance and code reviews.
- Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.




- Maintain transparent communication regarding project progress, risks, and blockers.

Required Technical SkillsMandatory

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
- Strong expertise in Core PHP and Laravel Framework.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and database optimization.
- REST API Development & Integration.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC Architecture.
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Git and version control workflows.
- Linux environment.
- Performance optimization and debugging.
- Experience working on production applications.

Good to Have

- Experience with Yii Framework.
- Experience with Vue.js.
- Hands-on experience with Redis and Queue Management.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
