Job Title: Senior Store Keeper
Location: Vallam, Vadagal Sipcot, Sriperumbudur

Job Summary:

The Senior Storekeeper is responsible for efficiently managing the inventory of raw materials, tools, and finished goods required for metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are received, stored, and issued accurately and promptly, maintaining inventory records and supporting production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials (e.g., steel, aluminium, fasteners, welding rods, consumables).
- Organize and store items in designated areas according to specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requisitions when stock is low.
- Issuing and Recording:
- Issue raw materials, tools, and components to fabrication teams as per job orders.
- Maintain accurate daily stock records (manual and/or ERP system).
- Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method is followed for issuing materials.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain documentation for incoming/outgoing materials (GRNs, delivery notes, gate passes).




- Prepare inventory reports and assist in monthly/yearly stock audits.
- Safety and Organization:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free store area.
- Follow safety protocols in handling and storing heavy or hazardous materials.
- Coordination:
- Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and production departments for timely supply of materials.
- Liaise with transport/logistics providers for delivery arrangements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- UG Any degree (Engineering is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in storekeeping within a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of materials used in fabrication (metal sheets, pipes, welding supplies, etc.).
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., Tally, SAP, ERP systems).
- Good communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
