Job Description: Project Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our agile Audio Visual (AV) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, implementation, and management of AV systems for various projects, ensuring seamless integration of audio, video, and control technologies. This position requires a blend of engineering expertise, project management skills, and hands-on installation experience to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with drafting and project teams to develop comprehensive AV drawing packages, including infrastructure requirements, system flows, and product detail pages.

- Design and implement AV systems tailored to client specifications, such as projectors, sound systems, video conferencing equipment, and lighting controls.

- Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

- Work directly with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to develop budgets, timelines, construction documents, and manage overall project expectations.

- Prepare CAD system drawings, program DSP (Digital Signal Processing) systems, and design AV computer control systems.

- Provide technical support throughout project lifecycles, including production of Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) documentation and post-installation assistance.

- Review and refine Bills of Material (BOM),



oversee AV architectural drawings, and communicate progress to ensure projects stay on track.

- Integrate media solutions for AV installations, including show control and video systems, while adhering to industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field (preferred).

- 5+ years of experience in AV engineering, project management, or a similar role within the audio visual industry.

- Proficiency in AV design software (e.g., CAD, AutoCAD), DSP programming, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).

- Strong knowledge of AV equipment, networking, signal flow, and integration protocols.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and testing complex AV systems.

- Project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, handle multiple projects, and travel to job sites as needed.
