Job Title: Procurement Engineer (Purchase Engineer)

Location: Sakinaka, Mumbai

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials required for our projects. The ideal candidate should have strong vendor management, negotiation, and coordination skills to ensure cost-effective procurement while meeting project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

· Send RFQs (Requests for Quotations) to multiple vendors based on material or service requirements.

· Evaluate vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements (commercial and basic technical).

· Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per company policies and project requirements.

· Coordinate with internal technical teams to clarify specifications and resolve technical queries.

· Identify, evaluate, and develop recent vendors to build a reliable and competitive supplier base.

· Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.

· Follow up with vendors and transporters to ensure timely delivery of materials.

· Coordinate with the accounts team for vendor payment follow-ups and invoice-related matters.

· Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company procurement procedures.

Skills & Competencies





· Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.

· Basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.s

Qualification & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical.

· 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in an engineering, manufacturing, or EPC environment.
