We are seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) professional to strengthen our patent portfolio and support innovation initiatives.

Job Summary

The Senior Executive – Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) will be responsible for managing patent-related activities, including patent drafting, prosecution, filing, portfolio management, patentability analysis, and coordination with patent attorneys and R&D; teams. The role requires a strong understanding of Indian patent laws and pharmaceutical intellectual property practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and file patent applications in compliance with Indian Patent Laws.
- Conduct patentability, novelty, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches.
- Manage patent prosecution activities, office actions, hearing notices, and oppositions.
- Maintain and monitor the organization's patent portfolio.
- Coordinate with inventors, patent attorneys, regulatory teams, and R&D; departments.
- Perform patent landscape analysis and competitor patent monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for patent filings arising from ongoing research projects.




- Prepare technical documentation and maintain patent records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable intellectual property regulations and timelines.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of the Indian Patents Act, 1970 and Patent Rules.
- Experience in patent drafting, prosecution, filing, and portfolio management.
- Good understanding of patent search and patentability analysis.
- Experience handling office actions, hearings, and oppositions.
- Knowledge of patent databases and IP search tools.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualification

Essential:

- M.Sc. in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.

Preferred:

- B.Pharm with LLB (IPR) or M.Tech (Biotechnology) will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Intellectual Property Rights within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry.
