French Toast is an all-day breakfast and bakery brand with three locations across Kochi, known for quality food and a warm atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Continental Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen, a solid understanding of food preparation and hygiene standards, and takes pride in consistently delivering high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to French Toast's quality and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee daily hot kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
- Quality Control: Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure the kitchen adheres to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage,
and coordinate with the team on ingredient ordering.
- Team Coordination: Guide and support kitchen staff, ensuring smooth coordination between stations during service.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef in continental cuisine, preferably in a restaurant or café setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours.
- Good leadership and team coordination skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
