About the Role
Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to lead a specific section of our kitchen, delivering consistent, high-quality dishes across our wellness-focused luxury resort. This role reports to the Sous Chef and plays a key part in maintaining the standards and precision expected of a fine-dining, wellness-aligned kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of an assigned kitchen section (e.g., sauces, grill, pastry, cold kitchen), ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Prepare and execute dishes according to standardized recipes, including wellness-aligned and Ayurveda-informed menu items
- Supervise and guide Commis Chefs within your section, ensuring proper technique and hygiene standards
- Maintain portion control, minimize wastage, and support food costing discipline
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Coordinate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef on menu execution, special events, and daily service requirements
- Assist with inventory checks and stock requisition for your section
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and efficient section at all times

Requirements

- Diploma/degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts
- Minimum 2-3 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a CDP or equivalent section-lead role
- Prior experience in a luxury resort, boutique hotel, or 5-star property preferred
- Strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during service
- Good teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with wellness cuisine, Ayurvedic food principles, or spa/resort dining
- Familiarity with Kerala or South Indian regional cuisine
- Willingness to cross-train across multiple kitchen sections
