About the Role

Watsan Envirotech Private Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, prototyping, and production of innovative water purification and sanitation products. The role involves product design, engineering simulations, vendor coordination, prototype development, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical products for water purification and sanitation applications.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Perform product and process simulations to validate and optimize designs.
- Prepare fabrication, moulding, casting, and manufacturing drawings.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, machining, moulding, casting, and prototype development.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Evaluate and improve prototypes based on testing and feedback.
- Support production, manufacturing, and product scale-up.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve product performance and manufacturability.





Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or similar.
- Valuable understanding of mechanical design, engineering drawings, and product development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, moulding, casting, sheet metal, plastics, and rubber.
- Experience with engineering simulations (FEA/CFD) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on experience or industrial training in fabrication, machining, moulding, casting, fitting, or manufacturing.
- Experience in prototype development and production support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel for vendor development and prototype follow-up when required.
