The Punching Machine Operator is responsible for operating punching machines to manufacture high-quality components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards. The operator ensures safe machine operation, performs routine maintenance, and maintains production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate punching machines as per production requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper machine alignment.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect finished products using measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine malfunctions and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
- Maintain production records,
inspection reports, and downtime logs.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
Qualifications
- ITI in Mechanical or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience operating punching or sheet metal fabrication machines.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
