Job Summary

The Assistant Professor in Physical Education will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, and related areas.

Key Responsibilities

Teach theory and practical courses in Physical Education, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Health Education, Yoga, and related areas.

Plan, organize, and supervise physical training, games, tournaments, and wellness programs for students.

Mentor and guide students in sports, health, and research-related activities.

Assist in developing curriculum, lesson plans, and up-to-date teaching methodologies.

Engage in research, publish academic work, and contribute to institutional knowledge building.

Participate in intramural, inter-college, and inter-university competitions as coach/mentor.

Promote inclusivity, fair play, and wellness culture among students.

Assist in the development and maintenance of sports infrastructure and facilities.

Carry out departmental and institutional duties as assigned (admissions, examinations, student support, etc.).
