Senior Backend Developer

Location: Mumbai / Bengaluru Experience: 4+ Years

About the Role: We are looking for a highly capable Tech Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable web and mobile backend systems. This role is ideal for someone who is robust in Node.js, PostgreSQL, system design, and engineering leadership, and can guide a team across backend, frontend, mobile, and DevOps workflows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust products, mentoring developers, making architecture decisions, and ensuring high-quality technical execution across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

- Lead the end-to-end technical development of web and mobile products
- Own system architecture, backend design, and engineering best practices
- Break down business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Review technical decisions, architecture patterns, and code quality across projects
- Define development standards, coding practices, and deployment workflows
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers

Backend & API Development

- Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Architect and maintain modular or microservices-based backend systems
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexing, and performance
- Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, session handling, and API security best practices
- Build admin workflows, dashboards, reporting modules,



and operational backend systems
- Handle background jobs, schedulers, queues, and asynchronous processing

o System Design & Scalability

- Design scalable backend infrastructure for growing applications
- Ensure performance optimization, caching strategies, and database efficiency
- Implement structured logging, exception handling, monitoring, and alerting
- Drive API versioning, documentation, and integration readiness using Swagger / OpenAPI Ensure applications are built with maintainability, extensibility, and security in mind

DevOps & Deployment

- Oversee deployments and application maintenance on AWS
- Manage or guide teams on EC2, ECS, S3, and deployment pipelines
- Support CI/CD setup, release management, and environment configurations
- Ensure production stability, server performance, and deployment best practices
