Working days and time: Monday to Friday | 3 pm - 12am (Midnight)

Position Summary

The Senior Application Maintenance & DevOps Engineer is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, build, testing, and deployment of a portfolio of approximately 40 .NET-based applications and shared libraries hosted in Microsoft Azure. This role ensures that applications remain secure, current, and deployable by proactively managing dependency updates, addressing Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and coordinating monthly releases across multiple environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software updates while minimizing operational risk and improving automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Application Maintenance

· Maintain a portfolio of approximately 40 software projects, including:

o 4–5 web applications

o Approximately 30 Azure Function Apps

o 4–5 shared class libraries

· Review and maintain project health on a monthly basis.

· Upgrade NuGet packages, SDKs, and framework dependencies to supported versions.

· Identify and remediate deprecated libraries and unsupported components.

· Ensure applications remain compatible with current Azure services and platform updates.

· Troubleshoot build failures and resolve dependency conflicts.

Security & Vulnerability Management

· Review Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations and Attack Path Analysis findings.

· Investigate, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through:

o Microsoft Defender for Cloud

o GitHub Dependabot

o Azure DevOps security scanning

o Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools

· Update vulnerable packages and validate application compatibility.

· Work with security and architecture teams to implement remediation strategies.

· Maintain compliance with organizational security policies and secure coding practices.





· Document remediation activities and provide evidence for security audits where required.

Build & Release Management

· Execute monthly build and deployment cycles across all supported environments.

· Maintain Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.

· Ensure successful compilation, packaging, artifact generation, and deployment.

· Coordinate release schedules with project stakeholders.

· Monitor deployments and perform post-deployment validation.

· Roll back deployments when necessary and investigate release issues.

· Maintain deployment documentation and release notes.

CI/CD Pipeline Management

· Improve and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.

· Optimize build performance and deployment reliability.

· Standardize deployment processes across applications.

· Maintain infrastructure-as-code and deployment scripts where applicable.

· Implement quality gates within the deployment process.

Testing & Quality Assurance

· Develop and maintain automated tests for Azure Function Apps.

· Progressively increase automated test coverage across the application portfolio.

· Integrate automated testing into build pipelines.

· Perform regression validation following dependency upgrades.

· Monitor code quality metrics and address technical debt where appropriate.

Application Support

· Investigate and resolve build, deployment, and environment-related issues.

· Assist development teams with dependency-related problems.

· Support production deployments and operational releases.

· Participate in root cause analysis for release failures.

· Recommend improvements to increase reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Documentation

· Maintain technical documentation for:

o Build processes

o Deployment procedures

o Dependency upgrade history

o Security remediation activities

o CI/CD pipeline configuration

o Release schedules

· Produce monthly reports summarizing:





o Dependency updates completed

o Security vulnerabilities remediated

o Defender for Cloud findings addressed

o Deployment outcomes

o Risks and recommended actions

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
