The Blood Bank Trainee will assist in the day-to-day operations of the blood bank, ensuring protected collection, testing, storage, and issue of blood and blood components in compliance with statutory guidelines and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in donor screening, registration, and blood collection procedures
- Support blood grouping, cross-matching, and compatibility testing under supervision
- Assist in preparation, labeling, storage, and inventory management of blood and blood components
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per blood bank standards
- Ensure adherence to biosafety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols
- Assist in handling blood requisitions and issue of blood/components as instructed




- Support housekeeping and maintenance of blood bank equipment and work areas
- Follow NABH, NBTC, and statutory blood bank regulations
- Report any adverse donor reactions or discrepancies immediately to the supervisor

Qualification & Eligibility:

- BSc MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology) or DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology)
- Paramedical Registration: Mandatory (State Paramedical Council / relevant authority)
