Site Engineer – Civil (Structure Works)

Experience Profile

- 6–8 years of site execution experience in structural works
- Experience in high-rise residential or large commercial projects preferred

Project Site (High-Rise / Residential / Commercial)

Reporting To :Project Manager / Construction Manager

Qualification : Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Role Objective :

To independently execute and control civil structural works including RCC activities, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, safety norms, and project timelines through effective coordination of manpower, materials, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

A. Structural Execution (Core Role)

- Execution of RCC works including footing, raft, columns, shear walls, beams, slabs, staircases, and retaining structures.
- Interpretation and implementation of structural drawings, BBS, and construction details.
- Supervision of shuttering, reinforcement fixing, and concreting activities.
- Ensure correct line, level, alignment, and dimensions before casting.
- Monitor concreting operations including pour sequencing, vibration, curing, and post-pour checks.

B. Manpower & Subcontractor Management

- Deployment and supervision of shuttering, rebar, and concreting gangs.
- Daily work planning and productivity tracking.
- Coordination with subcontractors to achieve floor-cycle targets.
- Ensuring availability of labour, tools, and materials as per work programme.

C. Coordination & Interface

- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, cube testing,



and approvals.
- Coordinate with Planning team for daily progress updates and target achievement.
- Interface with Billing/QS team for measurement verification and RA bill support.
- Liaison with client, consultant, and PMC during site inspections.

D. Safety, Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to site safety practices, PPE usage, and method statements.
- Rectification of quality observations and site snags.
- Compliance with IS Codes, project specifications, and approved ITPs.
- Maintain site registers, pour cards, and daily progress records.

E. Reporting & Documentation

- Daily progress reporting and work completion tracking.
- Maintain concreting records, material consumption logs, and shuttering cycles.
- Assist in preparation of look-ahead plans and execution strategies.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong hands-on experience in high-rise RCC structures.
- Ability to read and execute structural drawings and BBS independently.
- Practical knowledge of shuttering systems (conventional / aluminium / system formwork).
- Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple work fronts under tight timelines.

Software Knowledge

- MS Excel & MS Word – basic to intermediate
- AutoCAD – drawing interpretation (preferred)
