Job OverviewThe Academic Coordinator for Grades 6–10 plans the curriculum, mentors teachers, manages student assessments, and serves as the primary bridge between the school administration, faculty, and parents to maintain high CBSE standards.Curriculum and Academic Planning
- Enforce CBSE guidelines and alignment with National Education Policy (NEP) competency goals.
- Review and approve yearly and weekly lesson plans submitted by middle and secondary school teachers.
- Coordinate master timetables, exam schedules, and co-curricular academic events.
Teacher Monitoring and Support
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve instruction.
- Organize internal professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
- Track educator performance and help resolve instructional challenges.
Student Progress and Operations
- Analyze term results and design remedial or enrichment programs for different achievement levels.
- Address student behavioral concerns in collaboration with school counselors.
- Ensure smooth delivery of internal assessments and board-aligned mock exams.
Parent Communication and Engagement
- Lead Orientation Programs: Conduct welcome sessions to brief parents on CBSE policies, assessment structures, and school expectations.
- Manage Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs): Organize and oversee structured PTMs to discuss student progress and academic goals. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Resolve Grievances: Act as the primary escalation point to address parent concerns regarding teaching quality or student welfare with empathy and neutrality.
- Draft Official Updates: Author and approve clear, professional circulars, newsletters, and digital notices regarding exams and academic updates.
- Provide Targeted Counseling: Schedule specialized interventions with parents of students requiring academic remediation or behavioral support.
- Facilitate Feedback Loops: Collect and analyze parent feedback to implement constructive changes in school operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Postgraduate degree in an academic subject with a mandatory B.Ed. or M.Ed.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized CBSE school, with at least 2 to 3 years in a leadership or coordination role.
- Skills: Strong organization, competency-based assessment knowledge, conflict resolution, and explicit communication.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
