Experience and Knowledge Background
- Academic background in International Relations, Political Science, Geopolitics, Strategic Studies, Defence Studies, Security Studies, Area Studies, Economics, Public Policy or a related discipline.
- Robust understanding of international relations, geopolitical developments, India’s foreign policy, diplomatic affairs and regional security issues.
- Candidates who have interned, worked or undertaken research assignments with think tanks, policy research institutions, international affairs organisations, government bodies, universities, media research organisations or similar institutions will be preferred.
- Exposure to geopolitical research, country and regional analysis, foreign media monitoring, policy analysis and preparation of research briefs or analytical reports.
- Ability to research and analyse information from government publications, diplomatic statements, international organisations,
think-tank reports, news sources, journals and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of OSINT research techniques, source verification, Boolean search, fact-checking, narrative analysis and identification of misinformation or influence campaigns.
- Ability to prepare concise country profiles, geopolitical assessments, situation reports, policy briefs and senior-level briefing notes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Hindi or any foreign language relevant to the assigned region will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships, research projects, published articles, dissertations or demonstrated knowledge of international affairs and OSINT may also be considered.
