Purchase Officer – Steel Industry

Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Salary: Up to ₹22,000 per month (Based on experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with a strong background in the steel manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in procurement activities, vendor coordination, purchase documentation, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle procurement of raw materials, consumables, and other purchase requirements.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchase records.
- Compare quotations and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts teams for timely material availability.
- Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.




- Ensure accurate purchase documentation and compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Purchase Officer in the steel manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Experience in purchase documentation, inventory coordination, and material planning.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Tally is preferred.
