We are seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to focus on our automation and manual testing of the suite of software products that we offer to customers. The candidate will be required to carry out tests to ensure the software we’re building addresses the business requirements and provides user friendly experience to our customers. The primary role is heavy on writing automated tests, maintaining them and triaging failures.
This role will also include manual testing work for newer initiatives.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Define risk-based test plans and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product/Engineering; translate user stories into clear test cases.
- Build and maintain automated tests (Cypress/TypeScript preferred) across E2E, integration, and API layers; create reusable utilities/page objects and stabilize flaky tests.
- Implement and own CI/CD test gates (smoke/regression) with parallelization and explicit pass/fail signals; track coverage and test health metrics.
- Perform targeted manual/exploratory testing for new features, edge cases, and UX flows; drive regression for critical paths.
- Create and manage test data, mocks/fixtures, and environment configurations to keep tests deterministic and fast.
- Coordinate with engineers to reproduce, triage, and debug issues using logs/metrics/trace tools; verify fixes and prevent regressions.
