Job Description – Credit Risk Assessment (CRA)

Experience: 4–5 Years

ROLE OBJECTIVE

We are looking for a Credit Risk Assessment
skilled with prior experience in NBFCs or Banks to build and run a robust
underwriting framework for B2B customers. The role will focus on evaluating
creditworthiness, setting approval norms, managing risk exposure, and reducing
defaults, while supporting business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Credit Underwriting & Risk
Assessment

• Evaluate credit applications of B2B
customers using financials, bank statements, GST data, bureau reports, and
business profiles

• Perform customer risk grading (Low /
Medium / High risk) using structured scoring models

• Assess cash flows, repayment capacity,
leverage, and operating stability of customers

• Recommend approval, rejection, or
conditional approval with clear justification

2. Policy & Framework Development

• Design and continuously improve Credit
Risk Assessment (CRA) framework





• Define credit limits, security deposit
norms, tenure, and exposure caps

• Build risk underwriting checklists and
approval matrices

• Align risk policies with business
expansion while maintaining portfolio quality

3. Portfolio Monitoring & Early Warning

• Track payment behaviour, delinquencies,
and default trends

• Set up early warning indicators (EWI) and
risk escalation triggers

• Support recovery and collections teams
with risk insights

• Recommend corrective actions for
deteriorating accounts

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Operations,
Finance, and Collections teams

• Enable sales teams with clear credit
guidelines

• Participate in credit committee
reviews

5. MIS & Reporting

• Create credit MIS dashboards

• Analyse trends to improve underwriting
accuracy

• Support audits and compliance
requirements
