Job Summary

The Tendering Engineer / Business Development Manager (Electrical) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, tracking and managing tenders, preparing techno-commercial bids, coordinating with internal departments, and developing client relationships. The role focuses on Electrical, Infrastructure, Water Supply, Solar, Substation, Transmission & Distribution, and EPC projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Identify and monitor tenders from Government, PSU, Private, GeM, CPP Portal, and State e-Tender portals.
- Search and identify tender opportunities related to Electrical, Infrastructure, Water Supply (JJM), Solar, Substations, Transmission & Distribution (T&D;), Renewable Energy, and EPC Projects.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, eligibility criteria, scope of work, and commercial terms.
- Prepare and verify Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements and tender specifications.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Procurement, Finance, and Project teams for preparation of techno-commercial bids.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, prepare clarification documents, and coordinate responses with clients.




- Maintain a Tender Register/Tracker with details of identified, submitted, awarded, and pending tenders.
- Generate new business leads through market research, networking, consultant interactions, and client references.
- Plan and maintain records of client visits, consultant meetings, and business development activities.
- Make follow-up calls to clients, consultants, government departments, and business associates to collect tender information and upcoming project details.
- Build and maintain a database of clients, consultants, contractors, and project opportunities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on tender status, client visits, lead generation, and business development activities.
- Coordinate contract negotiations and hand over awarded projects to the execution team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tender requirements, and quality standards.
