Job Summary

MG Cafe is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent coffee-making skills, strong customer service abilities, and experience leading a team during daily operations. The Senior Barista will be responsible for maintaining beverage quality, ensuring smooth café operations, training team members, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages as per MG Cafe standards.
- Ensure consistency in beverage preparation, presentation, and taste.
- Supervise and guide junior baristas and café team members during shifts.
- Train new employees on coffee preparation, equipment handling, hygiene, and customer service standards.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other café supplies; coordinate replenishment when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.




- Maintain daily sales records and minimize beverage wastage.
- Support the Café Manager/Shift Manager in achieving sales targets and operational excellence.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of espresso machines, brewing techniques, latte art, and specialty coffee.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and café operations.
- Flexible to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in Barista Skills or Coffee Brewing is an advantage.
- Experience in a reputed café, coffee chain, or hospitality brand.
