The Data Governance Leader is a strategic and
detail-oriented professional responsible for leading enterprise-wide data
governance initiatives. This role involves the development, maintenance, and
promotion of data governance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs),
and frameworks, ensuring alignment across business and technology stakeholders.
The incumbent plays a key role in fostering a culture of data accountability,
quality, and compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Governance
Strategy & Execution:
- Leads
the adoption and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance
policies and SOPs.
- Ensures
governance practices are supported by appropriate tools and technologies.
- Framework
& Policy Management:
- Maintains
the Data Governance Framework Handbook with up-to-date policies and SOPs.
- Communicates
updates to the Data Governance Council and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder
Engagement:
- Collaborates
with data owners, stewards, and custodians to define, revise, and
implement governance policies and SOPs.
- Facilitates




resolution of data-related issues and supports the rollout of current
governance practices.
- Technology
& Enablement:
- Partners
with Product Managers and IT teams to ensure governance tools are aligned
with organizational policies and SOPs.
- Oversees
the deployment and integration of governance tools across the enterprise.
- Council
Leadership & Reporting:
- Organizes
and conducts regular Data Governance Council meetings.
- Tracks
and publishes data governance KPIs to leadership and enterprise-wide
audiences.
- Working Group Leadership:
- Leads and collaborates with
cross-functional working groups comprising data stewards, custodians, IT,
and other stakeholders to resolve data governance issues effectively

Requirements
Qualifications
& Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in data
governance, data management, or related disciplines.
- Good knowledge of data privacy,
compliance, and regulatory standards.
