Sr Engineer/ Engineer – Substation (Electrical)

Position Summary

The Engineer – Substation
(Electrical) will be responsible for execution, installation, testing, and
commissioning support of EHV substation equipment and systems across project
sites in Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand, read and explaining the electrical
design, layout drawing.
- Supervision of erection activities and installation
of transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CT/PT, and panels
- Understand and read cable schedule and execution of
cable laying, termination, and testing activities
- Ensure compliance with approved SLDs, layout
drawings, and project specifications
- Coordinate with civil teams for foundation
readiness and equipment placement




- Support testing and commissioning activities
- Maintain quality and safety standards at site
- Prepare progress and inspection reports

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma
or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 4–8
years of experience in 132kV / 220kV / 400kV substations
- Experience
in erection, testing, and commissioning of switch yard equipment

Technical Competencies
- Ability
to interpret SLDs and electrical drawings
- Knowledge
of protection and control systems
- Familiarity
with EHV switch yard equipment
- Understanding
of safety and quality standards
