Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Administration:
- Develop and implement the school’s vision, mission, and goals with a focus on inclusive and accessible education.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to special education (e.g., IDEA, ADA).
- Supervise daily school operations, including curriculum implementation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Lead and evaluate teaching and support staff to maintain high professional standards and instructional quality.

Student-Centered Focus:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Ensure appropriate academic, behavioral, therapeutic, and vocational programs are in place.
- Foster a culture of care, respect, and high expectations for all students, regardless of ability level.

Staff Management & Professional Development:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate special education teachers, therapists, aides, and administrative staff.




- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities tailored to special education practices and interventions.
- Encourage a team-oriented and inclusive team environment.

Parent & Community Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress, school programs, and support services.
- Build strong relationships with families and advocate for the needs and rights of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with external agencies, specialists, and community organizations.

Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the school budget, ensuring efficient use of funds to support student services and staff needs.
- Pursue grants and other funding opportunities related to special education.
- Ensure the school is equipped with adaptive technologies and materials.

Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and accessibility standards.
- Coordinate crisis response plans and behavioral intervention strategies.
