Job DescriptionWhere You Will Be Based- This is a full time, shore based role, located at our base in Road Town, Tortola - British Virgin Islands. PLEASE CHECK THE LOCATION BEFORE APPLYING!- We offer a market-competitive salary in USD, and a easy-going work environment.SummaryYour role as the aesthetic specialist will focus on the repair and maintenance of GRP, wood, stainless steel on the yacht interior and exteriors.What You Will Be Doing- Ensuring the yachts are presentable to the highest standards set by the company, which will include:- Scrubbing the exterior of the yachts- Cleaning shower curtains, rails, external cushions, and bilges.- Cleaning and detailing all lockers (gas, anchor and water locker), cleaning inside and all rims and outside edges.- Cleaning and detailing the helm station including winch handle pockets,
cup holders and dorade boxes- Buffing the yachts- Treating and removing rust on interior and exterior stainless steel- Cleaning all rubbing streaks and make sure all exhaust outlets are spotless- Responsible for completing gelcoat repairs and maintenance across the fleet.- Responsible for managing interior wood repairs and maintenance as well as painting and polishing.- Report to your team leader any defect or potential defects you notice while carrying out your duties.- Keep you work area clean, organised and safe.- Assist with the enforcement of control mechanisms designed to stop wastage.- Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing- Assist with securing boats and property in the event of a hurricane- Other related duties as assigned to support the repair of vessels.What We Are Looking For- Experience in a cleaning yachts or boats is required- Comfortable moving around yachts confidently- A desire for excellence- Superior attention to detail- Self-motivated and able to show initiative- Takes pride in their work, and desire to excel in delivering yacht cleanliness to the highest standards- Able to work under pressure to deadlines- A team player that will assist others when required- A hard worker, who is reliable and professional- Dedicated to our guests and the guests experience
