Credit Manager – Personal Loans

We are hiring on behalf of a leading NBFC for the position of Credit Manager – Personal Loans .

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical qualified with experience in underwriting unsecured personal loans. The ideal candidate should possess sound credit assessment skills and be capable of making timely and accurate lending decisions while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite unsecured personal loan applications.

• Assess applicants' creditworthiness using financial documents, credit bureau reports, and internal risk parameters.

• Analyze bank statements, income documents, and credit profiles.

• Ensure quality credit decisions while maintaining defined turnaround times (TAT).

• Identify potential fraud risks and ensure compliance with internal policies.

• Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Risk teams to facilitate smooth loan processing.

• Maintain high portfolio quality by applying prudent underwriting standards.

• Stay updated on lending regulations and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications





• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

• MBA (Finance) or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.

• 3–6+ years of experience in underwriting unsecured Personal Loans.

• Experience in a Bank, NBFC, or Fin Tech organization preferred.

• Hands-on experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Decision Rule Engines (DRE), and digital lending platforms.

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

Job Details

• Location: Kolkata

• Work Mode: On-site

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday

• Working Hours: Approximately 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

• Compensation: Up to ₹4.22 LPA
