Production OSD: Compression – Senior Operator

- Machine Operation: Setup, change over, and operate high-speed automated multi-station Rotary Tablet Presses (e.g., Sejong, Fette, Cadmach, ACG).

- Tooling Management: Inspect, install, and adjust compression punches and dies (D, B, BB, or BBS tooling); identify and report tool wear or damage.

- Parameter Control: Set and optimize critical processing parameters including machine speed, feeder speed, pre-compression force, main compression force, and tablet weight settings.

- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix real-time machine run defects such as capping, lamination, sticking, picking, binding, or tablet hardness fluctuations.

- In-Process Checks: Perform regular physical tests during the run for tablet weight variation, thickness, gauge, hardness,



and friability, recording data accurately.

- Line Clearance & Cleaning: Lead the deep cleaning (Type A/B) of the compression cubicle, de-dusting units, and metal detectors to secure swift line clearance for product changeovers.

- Documentation & cGMP: Fill out compression logs and batch records in real time according to ALCOA+ rules, ensuring strict adherence to cleanroom gowning and differential pressure limits.

- Junior Mentorship: Guide and train junior operators or apprentices on secure machine operations, handling of tooling, and shop-floor safety protocols.
