Job Description – IT Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)

Position: IT– Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain computer systems and peripheral devices.
- Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and coordinate repairs when required.
- Install and configure operating systems, software, and peripheral devices.
- Monitor system performance and report technical issues to the IT team.
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation using MS Word, Excel, and other office applications.
- Manage data entry, file management, printing, scanning, and document organization.
- Assist in maintaining computer hardware inventory and software licenses.
- Perform preventive maintenance of computer systems and ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with company IT policies.
- Provide basic technical support to users for hardware and software-related issues.
- Support network connectivity and peripheral device setup under supervision.




- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for system maintenance, if required.
- Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines, and information security practices.

Qualifications

- ITI – Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA).
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software installation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet applications.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Positive typing speed and data entry skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company data.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work independently.
