We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing and coding of medical services, facilitating smooth charge entry, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role is essential for maximizing reimbursement and supporting our healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing of services provided.
- Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies and government payers.
- Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update patient billing information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation for billing and coding purposes.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and coding guidelines to ensure compliance.





Skills and Qualifications

- Proficient in medical coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare billing processes.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
- Attention to detail and robust analytical skills to ensure accuracy in coding and billing.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCA) is preferred but not required.
