Job Summary

Task Force Interiors Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor (QS Engineer) to support project costing, quantity estimation, budgeting, billing, and commercial management activities for interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost analysis, client billing, subcontractor billing, and monitoring project costs to ensure commercial efficiency and project profitability.

The role requires a strong understanding of interior fit-out works, project drawings, estimation principles, and commercial project controls.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, interior, joinery, and MEP drawings.

· Develop and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for tendering, procurement, and project execution purposes.

· Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate quantity estimation and scope identification.

· Coordinate with Design and Project Teams to clarify quantity-related discrepancies and project requirements.

· Ensure all quantities are measured and documented in accordance with project specifications and company standards.

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

· Prepare project cost estimates based on approved drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and market rates.

· Assist in developing project budgets and cost plans during pre-construction and execution stages.

· Conduct cost analysis and evaluate project expenditures against approved budgets.

· Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and project requirements.

· Support management with cost forecasting and project profitability assessments.

Billing & Commercial Management

· Prepare and submit client RA (Running Account) Bills as per project progress and contractual requirements.

· Verify and process subcontractor and vendor bills based on completed work quantities and approved rates.

· Ensure timely certification and reconciliation of quantities for billing purposes.





· Track payment milestones and coordinate with Accounts and Project Teams for billing and collections.

· Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.

Variation & Change Management

· Identify, quantify, and document project variations, additional works, and scope changes.

· Prepare variation statements and cost impact assessments for client approvals.

· Monitor change orders and ensure proper commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate with Project Managers and clients regarding commercial implications of project changes.

Cost Monitoring & Project Control

· Monitor project costs, material consumption, and budget utilization throughout project execution.

· Conduct quantity reconciliation and material consumption analysis to identify variances.

· Track project financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and optimization.

· Support Project Managers in maintaining commercial discipline and budget compliance.

· Assist in minimizing project cost overruns through effective monitoring and reporting.

Tendering & Vendor Coordination

· Assist in preparing tender documents, BOQs, and commercial evaluation sheets.

· Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

· Compare rates, prepare bid analysis reports, and support procurement decision-making.

· Coordinate with Procurement Teams to ensure commercial compliance during material and subcontractor selection.

Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain accurate records of BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates, billing documents, variations, and commercial reports.

· Prepare weekly and monthly commercial progress reports for management review.

· Support project audits, reconciliations, and commercial reviews.

· Ensure all project-related commercial documentation is updated and properly maintained.





Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, estimation techniques, and cost management practices.

· Good understanding of interior fit-out works, joinery, furniture, civil finishes, and MEP coordination.

· Ability to interpret architectural, interior, structural, and MEP drawings accurately.

· Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.

· Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

· Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing project drawings and quantity extraction.

· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including formulas, cost sheets, quantity calculations, and reporting.

· Good working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.

· Familiarity with BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, billing processes, and cost tracking tools.

· Understanding of ERP systems, project costing software, and commercial documentation processes is an added advantage.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

· Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

· 2–4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, QS Engineer, Estimation Engineer, or Commercial Engineer.

· Prior experience in Interior Fit-Out, Corporate Interiors, Turnkey Projects, Construction, or Related Industries is preferred.

· Experience handling BOQs, estimation, billing, quantity take-offs, and project cost control activities.
