Job Title: Senior Sales Officer / Assistant Manager / Manager – Retail Sales

Location:Chennai

Industry: Hospitality / Food & Beverage

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 7–10 years of experience in sweets, bakery, QSR, retail food chains, FMCG food retail, or hospitality counter sales operations.

Reports To: MARKETING MANAGER

Role Summary

We are looking for a result-driven and enthusiastic personnel to develop strong counter sales out of the Walk-ins and capable of developing innovative ideas to increase walk-in customers and improve sweet, savouries & bakery sales.The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, training & development of the staff , customer handling and knowledge of food industry for assuring & maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Walk-in Sales (Counter Sales)

• Attractive Counter Display & Service

• Selling Techniques training to the counter staff with focus on upselling

• Cross selling opportunities

• Hygiene & Food handling practices

• Stock Monitoring - FIFO process

Sales Strategy & Execution

• Understanding Product mix in terms of Premium Sweets, Gift Hampers, Bakery items to drive the counter sales

• Ensure premium customer experience through greetings standard, product explanation and sampling or any other personalized recommendations

• Stock Management in the counters

• Training Staff in terms of Customer approach and handling

• Competition tracking & Mystery Shopping

• Marketing Calendar – Month on Month to boost the sales

• Cross selling opportunities

• Festive Season Sales – Outbound

Relationship Management

• Build good relationships with both in-store staff and customers to ensure repeat business.





• Act as a point of contact for all sweet/savouries related business challenges

• Address and resolve issues quickly and professionally at all touch points

• Nourish the employees with valuable inputs like Daily checks, Storage, FIFO process etc

• Coordinate with marketing team for WhatsApp promotions, festive campaigns, online enquiries, and lead conversion along with Visual Merchandising

Performance & Reporting

• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Maintain accurate records of interactions and deals using CRM tools.

• Submit regular reports on sales performance, counter staff performance and market feedback.

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related fields.

• MBA preferred but not mandatory.

Skills Required:

* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.

* Ability to understand the day-to-day requirements and act swiftly.

* Confidence to independently manage sale counters and site visits.

* Positive attitude, self-starter, ability to work in weekends and festive season.

- The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and a robust focus on integrity and customer satisfaction are essential.
- Efficiently managing multiple stores.

**Working Conditions:**

* Field visits and store visit proper PJP (Permanent Journey Plan) & Marketing Calendar

* Mandatory travel within the city or nearby regions for propelling business

*Anything beyond is the bonus
