Process Optimization: Establish and maintain correct machine parameters, such as speed, pressure, and cooling times, using Scientific Moulding principles.
- Defect Troubleshooting: Identify and fix common plastic defects like short shots, warpage, flash, sink marks, and air pockets.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Participate in design reviews to ensure new plastic parts are easy and safe to manufacture.
- Tooling & Trialing: Conduct mold validation trials for current tools and approve them for full-scale mass production.
- Robot & Automation Programming: Set up and program auxiliary equipment, including pick-and-place robots and material mixers.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cycle times and lower overall manufacturing costs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain process sheets, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workplace safety records.
