Engineer Functional Area: Assembly Shop Experience: 6-12 years Responsibilities: Plan and execute the daily production schedule for the assembly line Ensure on-time production targets while maintaining quality standards Interpret and work as per Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and SOPs Ensure proper use of tools, jigs, fixtures, and assembly equipment Handle manpower planning, line balancing, and resource allocation efficiently Conduct in-process inspections and ensure quality at every stage of assembly Identify and resolve assembly issues like fitment problems, wiring mismatches, or component defects Maintain compliance with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and safety norms Coordinate with Design, Quality, PPC,
and Stores teams for smooth workflow Suggest and implement continuous improvements for productivity and cost savings Train assembly workers and helpers to follow standard work procedures Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma /B.
Tech in Mechanical, thoroughout should be minimum 60% Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring layouts, and BOMs Proficiency in MS Office, ERP software, and production reporting tools Solid problem-solving and team leadership skills Knowledge of ISO/TS quality systems is preferred Familiarity with safety standards and lean tools like 5S, Kaizen, etc.
