Accountant – Job Description (Construction Firm)

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial and accounting operations of our construction firm. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, payroll, banking, and construction-related financial transactions. Experience with Tally Prime and MS Excel is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally Prime.
- Record purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, cash books, and ledgers.
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Process vendor bills and contractor payments.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow reports.
- Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax consultants.
- Maintain project-wise cost records and expenditure reports.
- Monitor advances, retention amounts, and customer collections.




- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, and statutory records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred).
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and payroll processing.
- Robust analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in construction or real estate accounting.
- Ability to prepare project-wise financial reports.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and audit procedures.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
